A couple standouts as far as sound quality off the top of my head:

9/4/83
12/30/86

Both great shows made even better by the quality.

Like rating the shows themselves it's somewhat subjective, but two shows come to mind that rival the pure sound quality of the one you listed (which IS excellent) and they are 10-9-82 at the Frost (unbelievable show, btw) and 11-6-77 Broome Cty. (also a mind-blower). Check 'em out.

Well, I can't let this go on any further!

10-25-79 has a great sounding version out there and the show is "off the charts" as captain doubledose put it. There are three versions of this show. This is the one:

new Haven ColiseumSet 2: SBD -> Master Cassette (Sony TCD5M/Maxell UDXL II) -> Master Dat (Panasonic SV3800/48k)

Transferred by Charlie Miller/Uploaded by Jonathan Aizen. Granted, it's only set 2 I'm speaking about. If you do not have it, go get it and rest in peace.

I've always thought the 88-03-26/27/28 run sounded phenominal. Unfortunately when 27 was released as a DP download, all three were taken down. The unfortunate part of that is I think the version I got from the LMA sounds better than Dick's.

72-05-11 (Rotterdam) also sounds great, if you're into straight SBDs.

I think in general if Charlie Miller put out the source, then it does not get much better!

I always revert back to my two favortie stand-bys: 5-15 and 5-17-77. Both are excellent sound quality. and also for some more recent flavor try 08-21-93. Great Birdsong with Jerry using his Lightning Bolt guitar for the first time. the sound quality on this show is some of the best later-day Dead that I've found.

11-25-79 and 12-28 from the same year sound good too. Also like 12-18-73,6-14-76. All of these are comparable quality.
